Collection #3

Published by Missy under General, Hammocks

I finally got around to snapping some photos of my third completed collection.  Here it is in its entirety.  Close-ups of each item can, of course, be located in the gallery.  This fabric isn’t something that I would normally choose as I prefer a more elegant and muted feel, but Anya wanted to pick something [...]

The basic sewing tutorial is now “complete” with pictures and a short guide. I am sure that, over time, more will be added to the tutorial but it is fully functional as of.. right now. If you can think of anything that needs to be added to it (or have questions, find something [...]

Tutorials

Currently I’ve only uploaded a basic sewing and terminology tutorial (and I need to take some pictures tomorrow to support it) but I hope to have new tutorials regularly being posted from now on. Liners

Published by Missy under General, Tutorials

Ratty boys

Published by Missy under General, Rat Tails

Thank you to Nicole of Black Wolf Rattery for permission to use the picture you see here! This is one of the babies in Lydia’s litter (the mother of the two boys we will be adopting). The rat in this picture will not necessarily be adopted by me — I haven’t yet [...]

Work on the gallery (there is a link above for anyone interested) is proceeding apace! Not only have I posted pictures of all of my fabrics (including stock numbers for them at Joann’s), but I’ve also started taking photographs of the hammocks that I’ve created. Currently only two of the collections are posted (including [...]

Anya’s hammock

Published by Missy under General, Hammocks

While I currently have a rather good-sized pile of beautiful hammocks, I’ve decided that the first one to grace this blog should be the one sewn by Anya. Obviously, she didn’t do this by herself but I am extremely impressed with the amount of time she spent learning to use the sewing machine last [...]
